Some thoughts and discussions from me.

Hi guys!

I’m not really doing a weekend recap because I barely got my camera out, but it was another one for the books! It was packed from Friday evening – starting with a 2-hr yoga workshop followed by drinks on the patio with friends. Saturday was packed with teaching morning boot camp, going for a hike with Shane, Natalie, and her husband at Mount Sanitas., a quick lunch on Pearl St., a walk with Niko and a friend around the ponds, and then a cook out/gin and tonic club soda night at a friends house. Sunday was the ultimate catch up day. I worked on blog stuff, gym stuff, house stuff, and so much laundry. I didn’t even mind staying inside with sunny skies and warm temps out (I did have the windows open, though) because the entire weekend was just perfect.

So now. On to some life updates.

Since turning my life upside down and beginning this adventure of moving across the country, if I’ve learned one thing it’s this: patience.

Life isn’t perfect, and no matter how much you stress and worry and obsess about your problems, it won’t speed up the resolution of them. Life just doesn’t work that way.

What I’m convinced does? Two words: Letting. Go.

When we moved out here, I had a few…situations…weighing on me. Two of them are now resolved!

Update #1 – WE SOLD OUR HOUSE!!!!!!!

Remember when I went back home to IL to visit, and I had a completely unexpected breakdown upon entering our old, still-then on the market house?

I truly believe I needed to let go of my emotional attachment and burden to it, and say goodbye. After that good cry, I felt a lot better. I felt better about it still being on the market, and I felt some sort of closure. And wouldn’t you know it? Three days later, after not getting one offer for 100 days on the market, we got 2 offers on the same day. What an exciting day that was! After a dramatic morning of getting the news, scrambling to find a lawyer, and many phone calls back and forth with our agent and lawyer later, we came to an agreement that Shane and I felt great about. Now there’s a sold sign in our house, and we close in June. WOO HOO!!

^I posted this picture to Instagram the day we got the offers. Eeeek!

Ahhh. This is such a huge weight off our shoulders. Now I feel like a real Coloradoan. (Actually, forking out ore than $400 to get my car registered here on Friday sure made me feel like a real Coloradoan, too. Oof.) Plus, paying two mortgages for 4 months hasn’t been my idea of a good time either Winking smile

And then…

Update #2 – I have a new PT/group fitness job.

I had been (and still am) working at two different gyms. One of the gyms I was training at just wasn’t working out for me. I won’t go into detail here on the interwebs, but I just didn’t agree with a lot of its business practices, and ultimately decides to say goodbye. I actually did something I’ve never done before and quit before I had another job to replace it. For a few days I was stressing about it. Then I went on this hike and realized it’d be OK.

Wouldn’t you know it? The very same day I came to that notion on my hike, I lined up another job!  I’m SO very excited to start training here. I can really see myself being successful here, and after talking with the owners, came to find out we have a lot of the same values on what a gym should provide to its members (and trainers.) This gym is also right in my neighborhood; it’s literally less than a 5 minute walk away Open-mouthed smile

And I have another announcement later in the week, but it’s not so much of a life update – just a new feature I’ve been working on for my online training programs. Exciting just as much though!

Now it’s time to scoot! I’m teaching an early morning interval workout and then training a client. Have a lovely Monday, my friends!

Have you sold a house before? It’s some serious work!!!
