Some thoughts and discussions from me.

Hello, friends!

I finally feel caught back up on life today. Monday was an incredibly busy day, but yesterday was a very light day (just one client!) and I used it as a catch up day. I caught up with online training clients, started a freelance post, cleaned out my car (!!) and did some cleaning around the house.

Yesterday was floors day.

Let me go totally off topic here, and ask you guys a question: how do you clean your house? I’m not a big fan of the spend-5-hours-on-Sunday-cleaning thang, so I split it up by chores for each day…inalphabeticalorder. Wow, writing that out kind of makes me sound like a freak, but hey, it works for me. Basically, I rotate like this: bathrooms, floors, surfaces, vacuum, so each day I’m only doing about 30-45 minutes of cleaning, and the house stays clean all the time! (Ideally, sometimes, like on Monday, the cleaning gets missed.) And laundry is an every day thing – there’s always a load in either the washer or the dryer.

Back to today’s post – it’s What I Ate Wednesday! And wouldn’t you know it, I actually recorded a day’s eats that were on the weekend. Usually on weekends, I never think about snapping a picture, but Saturday, I somehow managed to.

Saturday started out just grand – slowly. I meandered around the house, making breakfast and coffee, and enjoyed this delicious meal while catching up with my DVR:

Bacon and eggs and Miami Housewives. What else.

Then I took Niko for about a 30 minute leisurely walk. It was an absolutely glorious day outside. Perfect weather. The last couple weeks have been just so here in Colorado. I love it. I love fall!

Around 10:00, Shane and I headed over to Mount Sanitas to do a little hiking.

It took us about 2.5 hours to make the loop, and I could definitely tell I hadn’t hiked in a couple weeks! It made me really used my lungs – and I loved it. I could use a good cardio workout.

About an hour into the hike, we stopped for a view and a bite to eat.

I was handing out bars at the trail, so we each enjoyed the blueberry pomegranate pistachio flavor.

When we got around to the backside of the loop, they had a detour for us to take – over through the Dakota Ridge Trail, due to mudslides from the flood.

Yeah…that wasn’t there before…

When we finally made it back to the car, Shane suggested hitting up Avery for a couple brews and a bite to eat. I’m never one to turn down an offer like that Winking smile

We each got our own beer (I got the Bhakti Brown – yum!) and then split another. For lunch, I went with the turkey reuben and chips.

This was delicious! I’ve gotten it before, and it was just as good as I remembered. And in typical Paige-fashioned, I cleaned my plate, and was incredibly stuffed for the next hour. You know, I only had my first Reuben since moving to Colorado, and now I seem to order them for lunch every where I do. I also seem to like turkey reubens better than regular ones, which is weird for me.

Insert an hour of watching The Office back home.

Insert an hour plus of napping on the couch while The Office is still playing.

We had plans of walking over to a friends house that night to kick it for a while, but a hike + mid-day beers = a Paige that just wants to stay in. Instead, I lit my newest candle, and had an easy dinner around 8:00.

Oh, Anthropology. I almost love your candles as much as your clothes! For dinner, I just stuffed half a cooked acorn squash I had in the fridge with some cooked ground sausage that I already had in the fridge…and microwaved it.

Easy and delicious. That’s my motto!

I also went back to the freezer for a couple spoonfuls of this:

You guys. Bhakti Chai is an amazing product, but is even more amazing in ice cream form. I could have eaten the entire container, but, you know, I didn’t want to go into a sugar coma.

And that’s my Saturday! Not the healthiest of them all, but one I did enjoy very much Open-mouthed smile

How do you clean your house?

What’s your go-to lunch order while dining out?
