FREE training log to keep track of your workouts

Good morning! Another new week. Today I have a Free training log to keep track of your workouts that I’ve created for you, but first – let’s talk about the weekend.

Friday was pretty low key and included grilling out with burgers, and some margaritas. Then on Saturday, Shane and I headed toward Bailey, Colorado for some hiking and a winery.

weekend 3

We took the top off the the Jeep, and headed out on our road trip, which ended up being so much fun. Anytime Shane and I are out and about together, we tend to be with a group of friends, so it was nice having this as a little “date” for a change of pace!

Of course, I captured some of our little adventure on snapchat 🙂

We capped off the day by ordering a pizza and watching The Big Short (I think it was called?) It was a good movie! Kept my attention the whole time. Then yesterday, I worked for about five or six hours, since today I’m taking the morning off for a trail run and some errands. I also got in a pretty great lower body workout!

I’ve chatted quite a bit about how important it is to be following a properly written training program in order to maximize your results in the gym.

In this post, I told you the two most important components of your workout are following a program and feeling the exercise where you’re intended to feel it.

Another BIGGIE when it comes to seeing major results? Keeping track of your workout stats!

I have every single one of my online clients and boot campers keep track of both their weights used, sets, reps, and then jot down any notes to call out specifically. The training platform where I deliver their workouts makes it super easy to just plug it in on their phone so I can see, and more importantly, they can see their progressions from week to week.

And for in-person clients, I have a sheet and program that does the same thing.

However, it can be tricky to stay organized if you’re just using a notebook or your notes in your phone. Personally, I like to use spreadsheets, which is why I created this spreadsheet based training log.

It keeps track of all of the key stats, like weight, reps, sets, tempo, intervals, etc.  – as well as less tangible stats like energy level, sleep, mood, etc.

For the past few weeks, those who are doing my Sleek & Sculpted 8-week plan have been testing it out, and I’ve made a couple revisions since, but I think I’ve finally got it just right. I even use it with my own workouts, and with my in-person clients.  You can grab your Free Training Log to Keep Track of Your Workouts HERE.
