Some thoughts and discussions from me.

Fitness isn’t just part of my day. For me, it’s one of the best parts of my day. I (typically) look forward to my workout, feel powerful during it, and then satisfied and proud afterward.

Naturally, when I go on vacation, I factor in some kind of workout – whether formal or not. Sometimes it’s a run on the beach, or a hike through the mountains (or rainforest, or wherever,) and other times it’s a more standard gym workout.

For the past few days, I’ve been in Florida visiting my parents and family, and while I’ve been joining my mom at her local YMCA here in Sarasota, I filmed a quick HIIT workout for you in their workout workout room.

It’s a ladder-style workout, which is one of my favorite ways to get in some high intensity interval training.

TIMED HIIT LADDER WORKOUT

While you’ll find most ladder workout as rep-based, this workout is timed-based, meaning you’ll perform each movement for a specific amount of time in round one, a little less in round two, and so on.

This workout is a full body workout, and you’ll work both upper body, lower body, core, and your soul (aka, your HR will be up there!) I hope you like it!

For this workout, you’ll need a bench, a stability ball, and a treadmill….or not – I provide bodyweight substitutions for all three in case you’re traveling without equipment 🙂

As always, ask your doctor before beginning any new diet or exercise program

Do you workout when you travel? Do you do more formal workouts? Or just get in activity with your surroundings?
