Some thoughts and discussions from me.

Good morning and happy Friday! I’m over here in California again, but this time for business instead of pleasure.

Well, I guess you could call it both – why not get pleasure out of some business, right? Smile

While I’m here, I thought I’d write a quick post about online coaching. First off – I’m accepting new clients! Secondly – I want to tell you why online coaching is so great. And Finally – I want to offer a free consultation to anyone who contacts me about online coaching over the next few days.

So, why should you consider online personal training?

1. You optimize your workout time.

I.e. having a PT online means that your workouts and nutrition are for YOU. No more guess work. After I get to know you inside and out, I get set to writing your program, catered and customized to you, your abilities, your preferences, and your lifestyle. I also give you a huge database of exercise demos and descriptions for each one. This means less time wasted on guess work and more time making the most of your workouts.

2. Online training is a fraction of the cost of meeting in-person.

Typically seeing a personal trainer in-person is 2-4 times the amount as it would be virtually. My hourly rate for online training is about a third of what it is in the gym. That means you get about three hours of my time for what it costs for one hour of it if we were in a gym setting.

3. Take the guess work out of which nutrition and training program works best for you.

That’s my job.

4. Ensure proper form.

With youtube, email, phone, and documents, it’s tough not to cover all your bases. If, after seeing me do the exercise, and reading the description, you’re still having trouble with your form, I invite you to send me a video of yourself doing the exercise so I can cue you back to good form.

5. Accountability.

With weekly check-ins, 24/7 email access, and Facebook groups, it’s easy to have others supporting you by holding you accountable. At check-ins, I discuss how your workout went, what questions you might have. If you’re having trouble with accountability, that’s a problem we solve right there.

6. Everyone benefits from having a trainer!

I even utilize the help of trainers sometimes, and even the top athletes in the world have trainers.

7. Personalized programs and guidance.

Not only do I send my clients an initial questionnaire, but then I spend 45 minutes discussing that questionnaire over phone or Sype/Factime with them. During this initial consultation, I (and the client) learns so much about them(selves.) I take this information and consider it while I’m building their programs.

8. You have options.

Usually you have more options than just working with a trainer one on one, if that’s not your cup of tea. If 1-on-1 personal training is a little too expensive for you, or if you prefer a group environment, with me, you can choose semi-private training, where you and two other people who have similar fitness goals will be teamed up. Triple the accountability and support!

And finally, because I’m accepting new clients again, I wanted to give those of you who might have been toying with the idea of online coaching, but just aren’t sure, a chance to really find out if it’s for you. If you contact me within the next few days, I’ll give you a FREE consultation. This offer is now expired! All right…gotta go put my work face on for Expo West!
