Some thoughts and discussions from me.

Hey hey! How’s your week going?

Mine’s going pretty good, looking at big picture. Unfortunately, while playing volleyball on Monday night, I hurt my back pretty badly, which left me bed-ridden most of the day yesterday, and nursing a bad attitude. Since I take so much care to practice proper form in the gym while training, getting an injury while lifting a couch up the stairs (and then furthering it from volleyball) left me picking up the pieces of a this-isn’t-fair pity party on Monday night.

But hey, at least we were first in our league! Our team was on fire this season!

I’ve been making a go-to post-workout smoothie lately with the vanilla shake, the peanut butter, and the berry antioxidant. Those, combined with some almond milk and frozen strawberries, makes it taste similar to a pbj! I’m all about that.

This makes for a great post-workout shake because it’s got lots of protein, carbs, antioxidants, and it’s easily absorbable. However, if you’re wanting more low-carb, you could change out the frozen strawberries for ice cubes. If it’s your pre-workout shake, you could add the pre-workout, and if you’re looking for a metabolism boosting effect, you could add the natural fat burner. For my customized post-workout shake, I grabbed the shake, the peanut butter boost, and the berry antioxidant packet.

My favorite shake “boost” would have to be the peanut butter protein+. I love the added protein, the peanut butter flavor, and that it’s low in fat. I don’t eat a low fat diet overall, but I do like to focus mainly on protein and carb in my post-workout meal.

As far as flavor goes, they’re all pretty dang delicious. In fact, my husband is super picky about protein powder flavors, and each time we make smoothies with this combo, I hear the ‘international sound for more’ (sucking on a straw with an empty glass) within 5 minutes. It tastes like it could be dessert. It’s also very filling, I think due to the probiotic fiber in the base protein shake.

The price on the line ranges from anywhere from $24.95-$99.95 – BUT I have a 20% off coupon code for you if you’d like to try it out yourself. Just add BOWFLEXSHAKE when you check out.

What are three ingredients that always make it into your smoothie??
