Some thoughts and discussions from me.

Hey guys! How’s your week going?

After a lifting + hill sprint sesh on Friday, a tough spin class on Saturday, and a long day of skiing on Sunday, come Monday morning my body was screaming, “REST!!!”

So, I listened to it, especially since I had a volleyball game that evening. Remember that post about listening to your body that I wrote not too long ago? Well, note to self: next time pay attention to the whispers before it becomes a yell. Unfortunately for me, that yell was a sore throat and achey shoulder.

Because of this, what should have been one rest day is now turning into a few rest days. Moral of the story: listen to your body.

Do I get any points for listening to my taste buds? 😉

Earlier this week, I found myself getting creative in the kitchen, and whipped up this 4-ingredient protein cookie dough dip:

Guys, this recipe is so stupideasy that I almost feel silly calling it a recipe. However, once I tasted it I knew I had to share it with ya’ll. My peanut butter cup protein bites ended up being a big hit, so I know you’ll enjoy this one.

4-Ingredient Protein Cookie Dough

  • 8 oz. plain Greek yogurt (I used Fage brand)
  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (I used Quest’s Vanilla Milkshake)
  • 2T. peanut butter (I used Jif Whip’s Salted Caramel, and I think the flavor makes it!)
  • 2T. chocolate chips (or cut up chocolate bar, as shown)

Ready for these super complicated instructions? Mix everything together.

That’s it.

Then eat it.

Actually, grab a pretzel, pretzel crisp, or an apple slice – then go to town 🙂

Let me know if you try it!

Listening to your body when you need more rest: are you good at that?
