Some thoughts and discussions from me.

If you follow me on Instagram, it’s no secret that I’m a HUGE sucker for cute, fun, and flashy workout apparel. For me, when it comes to color, the more obnoxious, the better!

(and apparently I like to take workout selfies quite a bit Winking smile)

I haven’t always been like this. Up until a couple years ago, you would never see me in anything except for black workout pants. I’d ventured into fun tops, but was pretty discreet with the bottoms. Like a mullet, but in the form of athletic apparel!

The thing was, I liked those funky workout bottoms the entire time. I just didn’t think I could pull it off. Then over the past couple of years, I got over myself, realized that I should do what I want, and now I’ll wear anything from hot pink to tie dyed workout tights.

So naturally, when I received a package from PUMA at my door step, and found that the entire outfit was purple and hot pink, I got excited.

And check out the back of the tank!

Cute, right? So the color and cuteness of workout apparel is just one aspect of wearing an outFIT. The other aspects, which are absolutely required functionality and comfortableness. I need my clothes to wick sweat away from me (I’m not a glower…I just plain sweat)and feel unnoticeable as I workout. The worst thing is having to pull and tug at your workout pants throughout an entire workout. I don’t care how cute it is, if it doesn’t fit well, it’s gotta go.

So how did the Puma Ladies Workout Apparel stand to the test?

Gym Loose Top

This was my favorite piece of the entire outfit! I’ve already determined that I also need it in blue Smile I think just by looking at it, it’s obvious that you’d stay pretty dry and cool during a workout in this mesh, loose-fitting top. It was also extremely comfortable during yoga. I just wore a sports bra underneath it during yoga class and a gym workout, but I could see layering another tank with it if you wanted to.

Gym-licious Bra

So this bra was super comfortable, but the coolest part is that it integrates athletic tape into the actual sports bra to help stimulate micro muscle massage and help athletic performance. I’ve never ever seen this in a sports bra!

The Gym ACTV Power 3/4 Tights

image

So these are a little less than 3/4 on my 5’10 tall body. The bottoms come just past my knees. These tights also have athletic tape built right into the pant. I wore these for hill sprints one day last week specifically because I knew the athletic tape would provide some compression benefits during and after a high impact activity like hill sprints.

Bubble XT Tribal Shoe

I’m a very, very picky shoe-wearer, but these are such comfortable shoes! They’ve now become my go-to shoe that I wear around the gym – training clients, light lifting, etc. They’re extremely lightweight, and the actual shoe is more like fabric than a hard shoe, which I love because sometimes my pinky toe hurts after a while of wearing harder shoes. I could wear these all day long!

Do you tend to wear bright and colorful workout clothes?
