Some thoughts and discussions from me.

Hello, friends! I hope you all had a super weekend Smile

Gosh, I’m still on a high from it! It was all pretty laid back, but the overall vibe of it left me welcoming Monday with open arms. It may have had something to do with yesterday, though Smile

On Friday night, Shane and I decided to stay in and watch Hunger Games on Netflix. Shane’s never seen it, but I’ve seen it, and read the book twice! He had to catch up, because we had plans to go see a matinee of Catching Fire on Saturday. We went to the early show because I had an event to work for KIND later that night. My verdict?

I loved it! The only thing is that I wish they developed the storyline between Katniss and Gale a little more in the movie like they did in the books. However, I’m not team Gale or team Peeta…I’m team Katniss!

Yesterday, Shane and I headed up to Rocky Mountain National Park with our friends Katie and David for our first Snowshoeing trip of the season!

I love, love, LOVE snow shoeing! It’s like a combination between hiking and just playing in the snow. And play, we did!

That was right after doing a cannon ball, and making snow angels in the snow Smile There’s just something about playing in the snow! To me, playing in the snow is one of the biggest things that makes me feel like a kid again. You can run and jump and fall down and not get hurt. You have snow ball fights and tumble down a hill. It just felt great to play.

It also made me feel extremely care-free. As I strive not to worry about stupid, stilly things (or not things,) being care-free is, well, so freeing!

Along with playing, there was also some tough work. A four mile hike in snowshoes takes a lot longer than a four mile hike in boots!

Plop, plop, plop

I think we were all a bit overdressed, too. Even though it was only 30 degrees out, and the sun was hiding behind the clouds, we all worked up a sweat really quickly. I took my jacket off about 45 minutes into our hike, and felt just fine! And the best part?? My Raynauds didn’t act up at ALL. Blood stayed in my fingers and toes the entire time. I guess those heavy duty socks and mittens really do make a difference Open-mouthed smile

Ok, I lied. Maybe the views were the best part!

Or maybe the company Winking smile

After a day out in the snow, we all headed grabbed a burger and a beer at a restaurant in Estes Park, and were then lucky enough to see the biggest herd of elk I’ve ever seen on the way home. There had to be 50 of them! We even saw a couple males bucking horns/fighting:

There was even a long line of cars stopped to watch! It was such a good day, and we all kept commenting on how much fun we had Smile

So yeah, I’ve been trying really hard to be more care-free lately, and I’m really digging it Smile Of course, I uphold my work responsibilities, dedicate time to my clients, think about my health, and try to let my loved ones know I’m thinking of them, but aside from that I’m forcing myself not to worry about much else. My reasoning is that if there’s something to worry about, it will make itself known.

When was the last time you just played?
