Some thoughts and discussions from me.

Hey all!

I meant to post earlier, but I woke up late for my 6:30 a.m. interval class I had to teach today, and slept like poo last night. I woke up at 3:00 a.m. last night absolutely wide awake, and couldn’t go back to sleep until about 5:00 a.m… 20 minutes before my alarm went off. Oy. I foresee a nap in my future.

Ha!

Luckily, my interval class didn’t take the brunt of my poor sleep – it was such a great class. I think it was especially great because of the alternative –

After I warmed the class up, I said: “OK, guys – we have about 40 minutes left of class. We’re going to spend those 40 minutes doing burpees every minute on the minute. A whole class of burpees! YAY!!!”

After about 20 seconds of death glares, I said the magic words:

APRIL FOOLS!!!!

muahaha.

Anyway, luckily I have a 3 hour window between two of my clients today. I probably really need the extra sleep after this weekend. It was such a great one!

It started Friday afternoon – Shane and I packed up some snacks and coconut water and drove into Rocky Mountain National Park for an afternoon hike:

(more on this in another post)

then we got dinner at my absolute favorite steakhouse – Twin Owl’s. I didn’t take any pictures, but we dined here about a year ago, and I had the best steak of my life!

Then Saturday it was sunny and in the sixties, so after teaching boot camp I headed over to do some hiking in Boulder with some friends:

(again – more on this later this week – this ended up being one of my favorite hikes this year!)

And then yesterday included FaceTime with family, church, a looong Niko walk (it was another sunny, perfect day, weather-wise.) And we rounded it out with a Sunday evening cook out at a friend’s house:

we stayed later than we intended and both drank a couple more drinks than intended – hence the poor sleep quality I’m paying for now!

And now for some housekeeping items. This morning I am teaching a super early Interval BLAST class, so really quick:

Firstly – some unfortunate news. Due to some recent circumstances, I am no longer able to attend the Blend Retreat this year. Yes, it’s unfortunate. Yes, I’m sad. I wish it were here in my backyard again this year, but it’s not, so I’m going to have to give up my ticket. However, this means that if there’s one of you out there that has been thinking about going, you can now go at half price, because…

I’m selling a Blend ticket at HALF PRICE!

I bought my ticket to Blend, which includes my lodging for the weekend, for $273 – and I’m now selling it for $130 to the first taker. If you’ve been on the fence about going, now’s your chance! Email me (yourtrainerpaige@gmail.com) if you’re interested, and I’ll sell it to the first person who wants it.

Secondly – The Katy’s Kettle Popchips Giveaway ends tomorrow. Click here to enter to be one of two lucky winners to win a month stash of chips!
