Online Personal Training Program Giveaway & Specials + Fitmixer Boot Camp Winner!

Happy New Year! Party smile

That little party guy emoticon would definitely not be representative of me at midnight last night. I was fast asleep at midnight – for the first time I can honestly remember. This was for several reasons, the main one being I just didn’t feel like staying up until midnight, b.) I’m heading over to the new gym I’ll be training at today to meet the crew, and c.) I’m still on Central Time Zone,  for which we did, in fact, help ring in the new year.

(note: feel free to skip my rambling mumbo jumbo to the Bunnyif you’re only interested in giveaways and specials Winking smile)

I did, however, have a fantastic New Year’s Eve with the husband in our new state.

We finally got our Internet hooked up and working yesterday, so the majority of the morning was spent working. I had a lot of client programs to send out for the week, so I ferociously worked away finishing those up and sending them out by noon. Then we took Niko for a long walk. It’s weird – it was only 20 degrees here yesterday, but it’s not that bone-chilling cold like it is in the Midwest. I can’t really describe it, but we were both saying how it felt SO much warmer than the actual temp.

image

We spent the rest of the day running errands (Target and I are getting pretty tight) and furniture shopping. We found a gorgeous sofa and chair and I cannot wait to fill our living room with them.

Then, we got ready for the main event – the New Year’s Even special at the Melting Pot.

image

We made the trip to Fort Collins for an amazing fondue dinner. It included 5 courses, and I had to be rolled out at my last sip of coffee.

image

There was ceviche, wine, cheese fondue and dippers, salad, lobster, pork, chicken, shrimp, steak, beef, veggies, and ravioli, a champagne toast, dessert (flaming turtle – OMG) which I totally hoarded the cheesecake all to myself, and then coffee with cream. Stick a fork in me. I. am. finished.

Then we came home, drank some water and talked for a while (crazy how much ya talk without working cable in the house!) and called in a night. GOOD. night Smile

  14. Christina D says:

My current goal is to train for my first 10k pain and injury free. I’ve been using your mobility routines as part of my stretching regimen and I think they’re helping!

  15. My main goals are to run a half marathon in April, lose the 25 lbs I’ve gained the last 2 years, and read more books!

Side note: I’m completely jealous that you’re living the dream of moving to Colorado. I’ve been there on vacation the last 2 summers – Breckenridge in 2011 and honeymoon in Colorado Springs this year – and the hubs & I have talked to many times about moving out there. It’s just so beautiful!!!

    • I’ve never been to Breckenridge (did you ski there?) But I’d like to go either there or Steamboat Springs soon to try skiing.

  26. I was almost out cold by 11 pm but soldiered through it to watch the ball drop. I just find that NYE is overrated in terms of partying it up at the bars. Give me a couch and a cute guy and friends by my side and I’m content!

For me, a goal for 2013 is to tone up and become even healthier with my food choices. That means actually preparing REAL dinners and not some half-assed dinner. Dinner is my downfall so I know if I can be better about that meal, then I can really tackle my goals!

  27. One of my 2013 goals is to run a half marathon. I found a running training plan, so feel ok about building up my mileage, but I’m not sure how/when to best insert my strength training and am worried I won’t have time to keep up with that part of my workout routine…

  29. Happy New Year! my goals this year is to quit worrying about my weight and start being healthy! take care of the body God gave me and quit abusing it!!

Anyway….my new year goal is to get in 300 workouts in 2013. I’d love to have you train me!!

  31. Happy New Year! i do not like to make resolutions, because they are always so lofting and broad. But I would like to stay healthy this year and learn how I can reduce my sugar intake (I love sweets) and lean out. I don’t have a lot of weight to lose, I have more muscle. I would like to look for defined and cut.

  32. Looks like you guys had a nice and low key celebration! Which sounds pretty amazing. I’m not usually a goal setter for the New Year, but I’d really like to get more involved in the fitness industry and expand my knowledge with nutrition and some other fun things too!

  37. Two big resolutions in 2013–run my first half marathon and do 5 unassisted pull ups!

So far I’ve lost 23 pounds. The main go for me now is continue the hard work and enjoy the new benefits I’m experiencing with a healthy diet and exercise.
