Good morning, from sunny Florida!
My flight came into Tampa yesterday at 2:00 – a little late, but with no complications, and any time I arrive safely at my destination, I count my blessings (especially after being paranoid from reading one too many Nelson Demille novels! haha)
I met my parents in Florida, who are staying here for quite a while, and my mom and I stopped by the shops at Hyde Park for a little shopping.
And had some success at Anthropologie and lululemon…
Hey, I had to get something to wear to yoga on the beach this morning. Had to!
After some shopping, we went back to the house to relax and have a couple cocktails (vodka/soda/lime for this gal) and then headed out to meet my aunt and uncle for dinner:
Me with my aunt Bobbie. She lives here, and did SO much for Shane and me when we got married here 4.5 years ago…including lending me those gorgeous earrings she has on here ![]()
After dinner, we were all beat, so we headed home, had some chocolate chip cookies, and headed to bed.
My main and only goal while here is to be in the highest level of relaxation I can find, whereas normally I like to GO and DO and BE!
Relaxing with coffee and cream on the patio after 8 hours of sleep is a good start to day #2. So far, so good ![]()
Have a good one, my friends!
Random question of the day: What’s your favorite state?
I have a story for this one. Does anyone remember the grade school song “Fif-ty Nif-ty Uniiited States?” Well anyway, there comes a part in the song where you shout ___(insert favorite state here)____ IS THE BEST!!!! And I always always shouted COLORADO IS THE BEST! even though I’d never been to Colorado. My bestest friend, Jessica would always laugh at me (I think she said Minnesota though!) Funny how things work out. ![]()

Looks amazing already! I’m so jealous of your trip. Have an amazing time!

looks like a great time! I’m a little jealous considering we are in the middle on a beast of a snowstorm for the next 24 hours. I hope you get all the relaxation in that you can – wooooosaaaah….

I think that’s a perfect goal for you while you’re there! Enjoy every moment of it my friend.
Does Hawaii count as my favorite state? Haha. I truly do love it there. Second in the running would be California… only to vacation there, NOT to live there though. Can you tell I’m a beach gal?

Enjoy FL! When we visit my in-law’s in Spring the goal is complete relaxation and doing NOTHING! Coffee on the lanai in the morning, looking across the pond, watching the egrets…AWESOME!
Fave state? I’m a New England girl. I love Maine and Vermont and have a fascination with Wyoming and Colorado.
enjoy every second of your time in Florida! I am very jealous!

Good for you girl, enjoy every minute of your vacation!
That’s a tough question. I really like Florida, actually, but I haven’t been to that many states. I love DC, but since it’s not a state I guess that doesn’t really count

Oh it makes me so happy to see this!! I lived in that exact spot 4 months ago and now I’m moving back! I feel like you’re a celebrity visiting my home town
Have a great vacation!
Florida looks nice. It’s snowy and wet in Spokane WA today.. So yoga on the beach sounds really nice right about now! Enjoy your holiday
Enjoy your time away my friend! I love that you’re taking time to just enjoy life right now! I’m going to do the same when I walk out of work in about 3 hours! I haven’t decided what my favorite State is yet. I can’t wait to have time to adventure around and find out which one that is! xoxo

That’s a really good goal – just relax and be
That’s my plan for this long weekend I have coming up. Lots of holiday parties/things to do, but I’m just going to take it all in & enjoy myself. Have fun in FL!

Haha I’ve always wanted to go to Colorado, too. It seems like such a cool state. And I’ve never been to California! I live in RI, though, and I like it here
Probably my favorite state! But everybody probably says their homestate (besides you, of course) haha.
