2fer 2sday–The Advice I’m Following.

Gooood morning!

Thanks for all your well wishes for my appointment yesterday. Turns out it was just a consultation, and I don’t get my face hacked on quite yet. Instead, I get that as a New Year’s Eve present, haha. True story.

Now, since it’s the 2nd day of the week, let’s get to 2fer 2sday.

Whoa! I got half way through this post and Live Writer shut down, of course, without me saving it. I completely forgot a couple of things that I’d written, so #2 and #5 were written on the fly Winking smile 

1. Two Books I’m Reading.

1. Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn:

I read Gone Girl a couple months ago, and absolutely loved it, so on a whim this weekend I downloaded her other two books. Hope it’s good, too!

2. Greater by Steven Furtick:

I downloaded this one because I’m doing the Melissa Taylor online bible study for it. I’ve heard great things!

2. Two Things I’m Still Getting Used To:

1. A noticeable chill in the air:

LOL! Right as I typed that, the weather lady just said “it’s teeth-chattering cold out there this morning!” I definitely have to bundle WAY up to take Niko on walks lately. I hate wearing coats, but I do like being able to shove more things in more pockets Open-mouthed smile

2. Not being so ravenous:

This one’s a good one, but ever since adding more fats and limiting grains, I’ve noticed I haven’t felt the dire need to snack in between meals. It’s weird! But a good weird.

3. Two Search Terms that Lead to My Blog:

1. “i wish other people would mind their own business at the gym”

Bahaha-ha! Here’s how.

2. “I’m drunk after a massage”

Me too!! This one actually leads to my blog everysingleday, believe it or not! Seems I’m not alone on this one Winking smile

And this one, a bit more somber, I’d be remiss if I didn’t address – “pro anorexia exercise routine.”

No, no, no! If YOU searched this and you happen to be reading today, YOU are beautiful, and women are beautiful – with the fat they’re meant to have on them! Pro FIT and STRONG and HEALTHY and HAPPY exercise routine!”

4. Two Pieces of Advice I’ve Listened to this Week:

1. This one wasn’t really given to me as advice, but my blog friend, Sarena commented that she always focuses on what she HAS or is GOOD, not what she has NOT or what’s BAD. Good advice right there, guys.

2. "Don’t think less about yourself. Think about you – less!"

I heard this on the Jesus station on XM as I was driving to my early morning client yesterday, and I swear it was meant for me to hear it. I’ve been WAY to zero’d in on ME and MY problems lately. It’s not all about me. At all.

5. Two Things on My Wish List:

1. The mini iPad!

I think. I still have to hold them each and compare, but I’d be using it mainly for reading and looking up recipes in the kitchen, so I think the mini would be nice.

2. A new pair of Lululemon Groove pants:

I got my first pair FOUR years ago, after reading rave reviews on a message board I frequent. They served me four whole years – wearing them nearly every other day in the colder months! – and I finally need a new pair. They’re still fine, just looking a little like their age. They aged quite gracefully though, I’d say Winking smile

  2. I noticed the same thing with my appetite when I started incorporating more fats into my diet. I’m sure cutting back on my workouts impacted that a bit too.
    Side note: I just love your hair lately… It’s getting so long! And your bangs are adorable on you. :)

  5. Mini iPad? Aww! My motto this week has been, “3 weeks, 3 weeks, 3 weeks.” Not very profound, but I think the only way I’ll make it through the rest of the quarter + finals is to know that winer break is fast approaching! Wahooo!

  6. I am also reading Gillian Flynn’s “Sharp Objects” It is slightly disturbing, but then again I also cannot put it down. I’m not sure what that says about me lol, but I just have to find out how it ends! You will have to let us know what you think of it.=)

  7. I’ve been thinking the same thing about the colder, jacket weather. At least I have pockets! Now when I go for a run I have a place to put my keys instead of awkwardly tying them in my shoelaces. I love the bits of advice in this post too, especially “Don’t think less about yourself, think about you, less”. It’s so true.

  9. I felt the same way when I was initially cutting down grains and adding more fat and protein to see how my body responded. Seriously, from eating 5-6 times a day I went down to 3 strict meals! Nuts! It’s really crazy how different food groups have such a different effect on us.

    But since I added back my beloved brown rice bread after missing it so, I’ve been eating more frequently :D

  10. I am addicted to buying Lulu pants. I never needed them in Australia but now I can’t stop buying them! I don’t know if it’s the colder weather here, or the fact that I’m a PT now, but I think I have 10 pairs now? Ooops.

    I hear ya on being less ravenous! I’ve cut down to only four meals a day (from seven!) and I do not feel hungry at all. My body is loving the change, obviously :)

  11. At least you will be starting the New Year without the suspected mole! A clean slate so to speak. On the subject of fats, seriously, I’m feeling amazing adding more fats these days! With all the running I’m doing lately, it’s helped to add more fats and protein for recovery. I’m glad you’re feeling better! I hope you’re having a great week!

  12. Oh Lululemon, I have such a love for pretty much everything in that store! They have great cold weather running clothes right now that I would love to have… it’s getting downright cold here!

    My motto these days: ‘I am more than enough’, and for motivation to get to the gym at the crack of dawn before work ‘any length or intensity is most definitely better than none’. Going through the same uncertainties as you have in trying to figure out the best balance in exercise and food, these are what I hold on to and it has been working!

    I have so many books I have yet to read, can’t wait to start another! It has taken me forEVER to finish the last Hunger Games book. I just could not get into it, but I know I have to finish it once and for all. I keep falling asleep ;)

    I have quite a few moles as well… and although yes, I don’t always wear sunscreen. Sadly, it’s also in my genetics D:
