Guess what! I finally got around to filming an actual VIDEO for Move it Monday today!! I think you’re gonna like it, too ![]()
But first, let’s catch up, shall we?
I never got around to posting a weekend post like I sometimes do, mainly because I took like, zero to two pictures this weekend, and partly because I wanted to do some yoga yesterday instead of a post. But it was a really great weekend! I caught up with my bestest friend who was visiting from Texas, spun and shopped with another friend, got to see my parents, and got in some ample, grade A relaxing time.
Clarabelle knows where it’s at, man.
I also didn’t end up going for my usual Sunday morning run yesterday. When I woke up, I realized my body was still sore from the previous days’ workouts, and then I realized I wasn’t sure when my last rest day was. I immediately took that as a sign to rest. Skipping my usual 5 miler was no big deal, and instead I did some very gentle yoga to ease my sore hamstrings, courtesy of yogadownload.com
I’m glad I did it because thanks to it, and some foam rolling, I feel much better today.
In fact, I think I might sneak in a 3 miler in between clients. Whenever I do this, though, I have to put some extra thought into my surrounding meals. On Mondays I have a lot of morning clients, so I usually train my first one, and then eat breakfast. Today’s breakfast:
3 egg whites, 1 egg, 1/2 diced sweet potato, spinach, tomato, with some s&p – and ketchup for good measure. I’ve never had this combo before, but it was really delicious! Then right before (and during) my run, I’m sure I’ll sip on some Fitmixer aminos.
Later, for my shoulder and abs strength workout, I’m planning on using the TRX, which brings us to today’s Move it Monday!
Full Body TRX Workout
Suspended lunge/single-leg squat combo – 10 reps each side
Push up/tricep extension combo – 10 reps
TRX row/biceps curl combo – 10 reps
TRX see-saws – 10 reps
TRX oblique jackknifes – 10 reps
Repeat FIVE times!
Have a great Monday, loves!
Where’s the farthest friend in your life?

I have a minor obsession with Yoga Download. The 20 minute classes are perfect, because I can’t usually stay focused much longer than that when I’m doing yoga on my own.

I love my TRX, but can NEVER find a place to put it! Where do you put yours?
I need to start using it again.
Glad you got some yoga on! I still need to find a class I enjoy….that’s my goal for the rest of the year.

I love TRX. I usually take a class but I would love to get them for my house so that I could do some of these moves on my own. Is the door attachment pretty sturdy? That’s the only thing that I worry about – trying to find a stable place to attach them at home.

I think the attachment is very sturdy. However, you want to make sure your door frame is sturdy, too. And make sure to place it in the middle – or toward the hinges – and not toward the knob.
I love TRX. I got one at home and I use it 2-3 times a week. It’s such a great workout!! My farthest friend lives in Vancouver!! (I live in Switzerland….)
I have tried TRX once, in a class setting, and LOVED it! I would love to get a system for our house but I’m not really sure where we would put it.
