Whoa! I’m posting on a Saturday!! What’s going on?!? Well, I’ll tell ya
As a Fitmixer ambassador, each month I receive an email from the lovely Whitney, letting me know of this month’s ambassador blogging topic. I usually look forward to the next topic on deck, and spend the month thinking about what I’ll write about, until it’s time for my post to go up.
This month was different. This month’s topic is on fitness inspiration, or fitspiration, specifically in the inspirational quote variety.
I didn’t spend all month thinking about which quotes I would use. Actually, I put off thinking about this post until yesterday afternoon. I’m just not a fitspiration quote person! Seriously – check out my Pinterest page! There’s nada there that has to do with fitspiration quotes. They just don’t motivate me like they do many others. Except maybe this one:
I’m actually not a quote person at all. My friend Kim posts quotes to Facebook every single day, and I read them, and click “like” because they make me smile, but I don’t seek out quotes myself. I actually like Carla’s approach to quotes – make your own quotes in life! But I don’t really do that much either, lol.
But then I remembered that one time Ashley did the grunt work for me by compiling a super awesome post called Actually Healthy Living Pins. I remember really liking the quotes in it and pinning it – thank goodness – because now I have some of my favorites from her post to share with ya’ll!
Abs are made in the kitchen, yo! (My clients – especially newbies – can’t stand when I tell them this!)
Yes, yes, yes!!
Amen to that, sister.
And now I’m headed to my usual Saturday tradition activities – spin, coffee, and the farmer’s market with my friend, Heidi.
What are some of your favorite fitspiration quotes?
I also really like (and use a lot with clients) “it’s OK to be uncomfortable!” during a tough sprint or metabolic circuit.
