Just your regular protein pancake. Or is it…?
Nope – it’s a protein pancake with pumpkin cream sauce! I made my usual pancake, and then topped it with 1/4 c. Greek yogurt, 1 tbsp. almond butter, 1/4 c. pumpkin, 1 tsp. maple syrup, + cinnamon – all whipped up. So good!
And today I’m kinda banking on those antioxidants and healthy fats to give me a healthy boost. Doesn’t that good stuff make me healthy and live long time? It’s gotta give me some sort of edge…

Now that I’ve shared what goals I’ve got to work on, I gotta thank you all for sharing your goals in yesterday’s training program giveaway post. I loved reading them, and found myself being inspired by a lot of your words’ and 100% believe you guys can achieve those goals. Looks like we’ve got some things to work on, right? ![]()
Something else I’m working on? Tackling some of those lingering to-do’s. Be proud – I crossed off two items yesterday, including creating a gym flyer and updating the blog. My recipes and workouts pages are all updated with up-to-date and latest content
I also updated my training services page with my new testimonial section. Now all I have to do is update my Favorite Things. Three cheers for productivity!
I’m not so excited about the item I’m tackling this morning, which is taking both Niko and Clarabelle to the vet. It’ll be a sight to see, believe me, but at least they’ll have all their shots and whatever else they “need!”
Oy.

You’re soooooo brave for taking that test! I remember taking the Wii fit test a few years ago and being devastated LOL. Love the pumpkin spice pancakes too!!
For some reason I can’t view the video – getting a notice that it’s private. I did take the quiz but didn’t get an age just a score of 8/13 but I really think the questions are so vague and almost black and white really. Not really a great or true indicator of health and wellness. But I get that it’s just supposed to be a simple test of course. Oh and that topping? YUM

I just took my dogs to the vet monday, I always feel so bad when they get shots! As far as the life quiz goes, eh. I eat red meat 1-2 times a week and I think its healthy and not the other way around, so I wouldn’t worry too much!

I got 99! It’s an unfair advantage for me though because I don’t eat meat and well, I play scrabble and do word finds. These are things I do out of fear of what my grandparents had…heart disease and Alzheimer’s. Both of which scare the heck out of me! I take melatonin for restful sleep too. I have a horrible habit of thinking about things when I go to bed. Since I have a client that I train at 5am two days a week and I have to get up regularly with Jay at 5:30am, I HAVE to get some sleep. Tony and I have actually gotten to the point where we will watch tv in bed (I know some people hate that) and it really does help us relax and then drift off.
Now that pancake and the pumpkin cream topping…YUM! That is the perfect way to start a morning!

I just took it an only got 4 correct out of 13! I guess I need to start flossing and doing crossword puzzles! Who knew?!

Alright, I took the test, but I don’t think it’s comprehensive enough to put that much stock in it! I mean, we all know we should sleep 8 hours and not smoke, but it doesn’t take into account stuff like diet (other than the red meat thing!). I think you’re doin’ alright.

Yeah totally – but it did open my eyes to a couple things I need to more often!
I think the test is bogus.. the questions are weird.. I had my kids before I was 26 and then it asks you that questions and if it doesn’t apply to you then hit no, so you do and it takes points off. the rating system is weird. Just because my mom has diabetes doesn’t mean I’m going to. I wouldn’t let it upset you..
I know, lol! Like I mentioned in the video – kinda weird how it tells me I got the answer “incorrect? when answering the diabetes question lol. It’s not exactly a physical exam

I’m too scared to take it ha ha. Although, I play sudoku everyday! I LOVE it, seriously obsessed. That sounds seriously sad ha ha.
Those silly quizzes mean nothing when we aren’t being “diagnosed” internally. Internal shows us much more than what is going on externally. I definitely agree with working on stress, I don’t think a lot of people realize how important positivity and stressing less is important for our mental and emotional health. And it even plays a roll in our physical health. Anyways, sorry for the tangent. I’m improving on my nutrition this month(s), I just got back from the nutritionist and learned I’m definitely consuming too few calories. Time to fix that asap!

Took the quiz, but didn’t want to sign up for my results. I scored 6/13 yuck. Some of the questions though bothered me. I have a very active social life, I go out with groups of people 4-5x a week, but as far as friends I’d say I prefer quality over quantity so I said “a few”. Also yea some weeks I have red meat like every day and then I’ll go weeks without it or any meat. I think it’s a good reminder that little things add up to overall health though…
