Happy Tuesday to ya!

Two Things I’m So Over Right Now

Oats. I had a bowl of pumpkin oatmeal last week and I had to choke it down. Ever since, I have steered far away. I’m sure the craving will come back, but for now, I’ve moved on to another breakfast craving (scroll down to next category.)

Flavored coffee:

Back in August, I placed a huge K-Cup order on Keurig.com. Turns out, our processing got messed up (well, theirs did) and it took 3 weeks for us to get the order. Not that I’m bad mouthing Keurig. A) it happens, and b) we got 3 free k-cup boxes out of the deal. Anyway, while we were out of coffee, I bought Africana coffee, and organic, medium, but strong flavored coffee. Now my previous beloved wild blueberry tastes like water. Same thing happens when I get on a Sam Adam’s kick and then try to go back to Bud Light.

Two Things I’m Completely Obsessed with Right Now

Fall trail mix. I saw this idea in one of my many magazines, and went out to the store, bought some cereal, m-n-m’s, and candy corn (ha, just kidding I already had some) and made this trail mix:

2 c. corn or rice chex

2 c. honey nut or cinnamon (or whatever kind you want) Cheerios

1 c. peanuts

2  c. candy corn

1 c. candy corn MnM’s

Toss in a bowl. Take handfuls to the face.

Frozen waffles.

I went through this box way too quickly. I’ve been enjoying a couple waffles spread with either Justin’s Maple Almond Butter or some cream cheese. So delish.

Two Books I’m Reading

Still reading The Lion’s Game:

And loving it still! It’s pretty riveting in that I-hope-they-catch-the-terrorist kind of way Smile with tongue out

Currently re-reading:

I’ve read this book before, but I stumbled upon it the other night when I was cleaning our bookshelf. I remember really enjoying it, and I think my faith really needs it right about now.

Two New Websites I’m Loving

Pintester:

image

If you’re like me, you have pinned a billion and one DIY projects and recipes that you’ve yet to even look at again since you’ve pinned, let alone try. Wonder no more! This woman takes your pins, and actually tries them out, and then writes about whether they work/taste good or not. Pretty cool, right?

Going Home to Roost/Roost Tribe:

image

This past weekend I signed up for the Roost Tribe, a membership through Coming Home to Roost which doles out blog help, graphics, patterns, tutorials, step-by-step recipes, printable greeting cards, resources, backgrounds, coupons, and MORE. For $5 it sounds like a steal. I’m super excited to get started Open-mouthed smile If you’d like to check it out, head over to Bonnie’s website.

Two Items I’m Coveting

MOAR PJ’s!

image

I got the above PJ’s in pink stripe the other day on an impulse online buy, but I want another pair in leopard. I love them because they come in longs. One of my favorite things in the world is (trying to) sleep in on the weekend, and drink coffee in my PJ’s and robe. Favorite.

Right as Rain Jacket:

image

I need this jacket! I don’t have a rain jacket, and this one looks perfectly warm and snuggly – and cute. Also, anything else in the “what’s new?” section on lululmon.com – like THIS.

Have a terrific Tuesday!

What are you so over right now?

  11. Ummm, WHY have I never thought to put candy corn in trail mix??? That’s genius & going to happen very soon! And I noticed that Lulu jacked on their website the other day, super cute. Personally I’m over moving which will wrap up this weekend when the movers come & also (getting too deep probably) going to work everyday & feeling like I don’t make a difference. Sighhh. Hopefully Fall = change in the air :)
