Tennis Ball Workout (video!) & Monday Allergies

Today’s been quite interesting on this Monday…already! Apparently, the clock in our bedroom’s date was off – because overnight, the time on it had “sprung ahead” like it was in March! So, when I woke up at 5:30 a.m., the clock read 6:30 a.m. Naturally, my first thoughts of the day were “HOLYCRAPI’MLATEFORTEACHINGBOOTCAMP!!!”

Then I bolted out of the bedroom to find Shane look at me and say, “don’t worry, the clock’s wrong.” Phew. Dodged that bullet! Or case of the Mondays?

imagePerhaps?

And even though I really woke up on time, I still didn’t get quite done with my blog post before I had to rush out the door to teach boot camp and train a couple clients, which is why this post is late. But it’s worth it, because it’s move it Monday! Ready to see the workout I did (and taught) on Friday’s boot camp???

Boot Camp Edition

Today’s workout is inspired by Friday’s boot camp class, which is partner-focused drills. Last year, I told ya’ll about a tennis ball game I play in my boot camps, and today I’m going to share with you the whole workout!

Tennis Ball Workout – Instructions

Walking Lunges w/ a Knee Hug down —> SPRINT back —>10 push ups

Plank Walk down—>SPRINT back—>10 jump squats

Long Jump down—>SPRINT back—> 45 second plank

Switching Lateral Lunges down—>SPRINT back—->15 dead lifts

Bear Crawl down—>SPRINT back—>10 squats

Walk Outs w/ a Jump down—>SPRINT back—>10 pike presses

Lateral Leaps down—>SPRINT back—>10 plank & rows

Lateral Leaps opposite side down—>SPRINT back—>10 push ups

Crab Walk down—>SPRINT back—>10 jump squats

Inch Worms down—>SPRINT back—->45 second plank

Walking Lunges w/ Reach down—>SPRINT back—>15 dead lifts

Leap Frogs down—>SPRINT back—>10 push ups

WHEWWWWIE!

The great part about teaching boot camp is that sometimes you get an odd number of people and so you’ll need to participate. Bonus workout!! That can also be the downside to teaching boot camp, too…depending on how you look at it that day Winking smile Today I did a bit of the workout with them – but plan on getting in a strength workout later on today, followed by some elliptical reading.

Time to fly! Have a good one, my dears!

Any “typical" Monday mishaps in your day today so far?

What kind of workout would you like to see next? Strength? Upper body? Lower? Cardio? Treadmill?

  1. Looks like a good one! I’m always so paranoid about the clocks and alarms. I check the alarms at least twice (usually more) before bed.

  17. Strength training is great for your muscles and for the whole body. To provide enough nutrients for active workouts I am taking Navy Seal Formula manufactured by MGNutritionals. I was always opposed to all kinds of chemicals, but this supplement contains natural compounds, like siberian ginseng extract and caffeine. Never expected that supplement would provide such a tangible result, but for me it works perfect.
