Workout Playlist, May 2012

I’m the first to admit that I’m horrible with keeping my workout music up to date. Until this past week, I was still listening to my playlist titled, “March 1.”

However, that playlist referred to March 1st 2010, and was featuring Boom Boom Pow.

Yeah. To say my workout playlist needed a little refreshing would be an understatement.

That’s why I’ve promised myself that I’m going to create a new playlist for my workouts every month. To hold myself to that promise, I’m going to post said playlists on the blog each month. I know we’re a little late in May, but that’s OK.

Here’s the tunes I’m rockin’ out to on my runs during May, with the help of your suggestions, magazines, and my own tastes:

Playlist May 12

I love the techno-y versions of some of the songs featured, too. For some reason I loooove techno for spin class and other workouts, but hate it outside of exercise.

Have a great Saturday, loves!

What are you listening to during your workouts lately?

  1. I just updated my music last week. I still keep older songs on my playlist and just add and delete a few I am sick of. Lady Gaga is still a favorite to workout too and I have quite a few Glee remakes.

  2. Ooo I am in need of some new music thanks! I am definitely all about call me maybe..for whatever reason it pumps me up haha

  3. Thank you so much Paige! I left my iPod at home in London (silly me – obviously I don’t use it enough to remember it, huh?), but I will be using these songs for a new CD 😀 I have been wanting one!

  4. Ha! Paige, it’s so funny you’re talking about updating workout music since I’ve been trying to catch up on just that today! I’ve actually been listing to the same playlist I created in March (called “March Mix”) until now, too!

  5. Call me Maybe is one of my favorites! Sort of going along with what you said about the techno versions of songs… I’ll type in “Pop Goes Punk” in iTunes whenever I’m looking for something different! Different “punk” bands re-make pop songs for CD compilations every now & then, & I usually prefer the revamped version better!

  6. I always forget to change around my playlist but its time consuming to go through songs to see which ones are good enough for running/working out! It takes me a while to change my songs too :) I am a big on listening to Katy Perry when I run and Hot Chelle Rae. They get my heart pumping!
