Gooood morning! How are we all doing today?
Yesterday after getting off of work, I headed straight to the salon to get my ends trimmed off:
No big changes, just a trim. I’m actually trying to grow out my natural color, which is more of a golden/strawberry blonde. Right now I kind of have the ombre trend going on. Who needs a colorist when you can just grow your hair out? I figure the sun highlights it enough in the summer, so I’ll be good.
Once I was out of there, I came home to greet my parents. They were in town, so they stopped over to have some dinner and drinks outside on the patio:
Dinner was really simple – we picked up Pot Belly’s, and I set out potato salad, chips, and salad, and everyone dug in!
I love family time I even convinced Shane to let Clarabelle stay out with us!
Whenever I’m out alone, I always let her out – much to Shane’s chagrin. Looks like he’s finally cave. They always cave
Such a fun evening However, part of that family time involved my mom and I sharing a bottle of chardonnay, so this morning I’m draggin’ a bit…
Luckily, I have a rather leisurely morning this morning. Since I’m in no rush to get to work, after sipping some coffee (and Emergen-C…feel like I could be coming down with something which canNOT happen right now!) I meandered upstairs to try a new-to-me workout DVD.
After doing Jillian’s Yoga Meltdown on Tuesday, I felt like doing another video this morning. Today’s was Core Fusion Sculpt. I’ve been wanting to try out the Core Fusion DVDs for probably two or so years now, and this morning I finally did just that. There are five 10-minute workouts, and today I only did legs and abs. After I complete them all, I’ll be sure to post a review
After getting my sculpt (one of those buzz words that really means “build muscle”) on, I came back to a breakfast I haven’t eaten in quite a while:
Oatmeal! I cooked about a half of a cup with some almond milk and an overripe banana, stirred in some honey, and topped with peanut butter and homemade Greek yogurt.
Hit the spot!
And now I’m about to take you-know-who for a you-know-what
Have a great day, guys!
During the summer/nice weather: do you prefer to “dine al fresco?”
I LOOOOVE eating outside when it’s nice out. One of my favorite things.
