Kickboxing HIIT Circuit Workout

This morning after posting, I ended up doing about 40 minutes of gentle yoga upstairs before grabbing Niko, my iPod, and an iced coffee to go and heading out to a nearby walking trail.

I noticed Shane forgot his cup of coffee that he brewed before leaving for work, but by the time I found it it was cold. So I just added a little ice, and milk and had myself a delicious iced coffee! It was a little different to my usual iced coffee. Shane adds some of the raw sugar to his coffee – it was a pleasantly sweet surprise.

I’m pretty sure that I totally psyched myself with the sardines. This morning as I was packing up my lunch,  I reached for them, and then pushed them farther back in the fridge, opting to make tuna salad instead:

Tuna salad I can dig. Sardine spread? ehhh we’ll see. With a side of cottage cheese, frozen (and thawed cherries,) honey, and some almond meal. Eaten to the tune of Boyz 2 Men’s I’ll Make Love to You. I heard it on the radio earlier and it’s been in my head all. day. long. Quick! Someone sing a song to get it out! Smile with tongue out

And maybe tomorrow on the sardines…

Kickboxing HIIT Workout

So you guys know how I’m taking a bit easier with my workouts lately – ixnay on the intense intervals, no super heavy lifting, etc. Well I may be taking a break for intervals, but that doesn’t mean my clients are!

This afternoon I created a kickboxing interval workout for a client, which I plan to put her through after about 20 minutes of strength training. She loves kickboxing videos like tae bo and turbo jam, so I think she’ll love this. Thusly, I figured I’d share it with you all in case some of you out there are kickboxing aerobics fans, too Smile

  4. I love kickboxing but it’s not something I can do by myself. I need to get to a class soon and I also have a dvd I like. I really like that workout though.

  5. the sports circuit class I go to twice a week does a lot of kickboxing routines. What makes it even better is that we do it to a song so you don’t even realize you are going all out for a good 3-4 minutes. Amazing workout and just gets that aggression out!

    • I need to do Insanity. I tried once…but only ended up doing a few of the workouts. I wish it included some strength, though!

  7. Love this workout :-) I randomly took up kickboxing for a short time in middle school with a friend who also wanted to get into shape. It was a lot of fun!
