New Goals + LARABAR Giveaway

Today’s lunch wasn’t really a lunch at all, but more like a snack plate:

I haven’t snacked my way through lunch in quite a while!

I ate these snacks about an hour apart – first the veggies and hummus:

Then the star of the show – avocado wraps, which was just sliced avocado wrapped in organic turkey slices:

SO good and simple.

And third was Greek yogurt, raspberries, and granola:

What you don’t see is the cup of coffee that I snuck down to the café here at work to grab before my 11:00 meeting. Thusly, I broke up 2 cups of coffee/day rule. Damn. Well, there’s always tomorrow!

But really, that was last week’s goal. I’m still carrying it over and trying to make it a habit, but I have two new boot camp goals for this week:

  • Foam rolling after each workout
  • Drink 3 of these dirty jugs full of water every day

The first one’s going to be a toughie. Tina, you might not see as many check marks from me this week, but I’m gonna try my hardest! Open-mouthed smile

What you also don’t see in my snack plate is my larabar that I saved to eat on the way from the office and to the gym before training a few clients tonight, which brings me too…

LARABAR Giveaway!

My pal, Annie, at larabar offered me to do a giveaway for a chance for one reader to win some tasty larabar snacks.

One reader will win 2 Cherry Pie and 2 Peanut Butter Cookie Larabars. If I had both cherry pie and peanut butter larabars right now, I think what I would do is take half of each, combine them, heat them up in the microwave and then put them in some greek yogurt for PBJ yogurt. But that’s just me. And I digress.

    My snack this afternoon, hmmm. I’m sort of undecided. It may be an apple with peanut butter. Or a chobani. Or some fresh pineapple and a baby belle cheese. How’s that for options??

  6. my typical afternoon/pre workout snack is a Cliff Mini Bar. Today I kind of had a snack day. I ate 1/2 of my lunch at 12:30, a veggie burger on a 100 call eng muffin w/ mustard then i had the other 1/2 around 2:30 as a snack. This weekend i made butternut squash mac and cheeze (http://ohsheglows.com/2011/03/10/butternut-squash-mac-n-cheeze-two-ways/).
    pretty tasty for not having cheese in it i thought.

  7. My afternoon snack was supposed to be an apple and string cheese however I completely overate at lunch and there is no way I am forcing any more food in me right now : )

  8. Eating it right now! Mini-box of Sun-Maid raisins and a little Sweet ‘n Salty snack mix pack thingy.

  9. My afternoon snack is a spoonful of peanut butter mixed with some cheerios! I also have a small batch of overnight oats plus strawberries for before a late night workout.

  17. I’m eating my afternoon snack right now! Sort of the same as yours- Greek yogurt topped with frozen raspberries (they get all juicy as they melt throughout the day).

  18. Well, I didn’t have a PM snack today because I thought I was going to have to get blood drawn at my doc appointment and ate my breakfast + lunch all together afterward. But I did break my fast with a banana, so that’s the snack I’ll mention.

  19. My snack today was ants on a log! It makes me feel like a kid again, and will hopefully let me power through my workout!

  23. My classic afternoon snack is 2 low fat string cheese and either triscuits or homemade almond crackers. But today I had a BIG lunch for my birthday so no snack needed today!

  24. I’m eating some Flatout cinnamon crisps, an apple and a 100 calorie Trader Joe’s dark chocolate bar.

  25. An apple and a handful of almonds. And I successfully passed up cookies at work :)

  26. My snack is a delicious natural peanut butter and sliced banana on a piece of whole grain bread. Yummm!

  28. Your Larabar/greek yogurt PB&J sounds like an awesome afternoon snack! I feel like I’ve had an afternoon of snacks rather than a real lunch too. Most recently, apple slices and pb were on my plate. The pup was drooooling :)

  31. I’ve finally gotten on the larabar train this past couple of months and am in love with the cherry pie flavor :)

    Today’s snack was an all natural string cheese with a super juicy orange.

  35. I’m a huge snack plate kind of gal. I can never decide on ONE thing for lunch…I much prefer a little of this little of that. For snack today I had carrots with peanut butter

  36. Those turkey/avocado wraps look really good!! I’m slowing adding meat back into my diet and it looks like it may be time to add back in some deli meat :D

    My afternoon snack today was a clif z-bar and some almonds/raisins…but I wish it were a larabar!!!!

  37. Brandon and I are obsessed with the Boar’s Head cracked pepper turkey. It’s like $10/lb so we don’t buy it every time, but when we do it disappears in less than 3 days.

  39. I randomly had some leftover roasted brussels sprouts from dinner the night before. I don’t know why, but I was craving them!

  40. My afternoon snack was a “baked apple”. Apple + little water+ cinnamon covered with a papertowel and microwaved for a couple minutes. So good. If only my kids didn’t steal most of it :)

    • Nov05 I have learned many imnratopt things through your post. I will also like to mention that there can be situation in which you will apply for a loan and never need a co-signer such as a U.S. Student Support Loan. However, if you are getting financing through a traditional loan company then you need to be able to have a cosigner ready to assist you. The lenders are going to base that decision on the few factors but the most imnratopt will be your credit worthiness. There are some financial institutions that will likewise look at your job history and make up your mind based on that but in most cases it will depend on your scores.

  51. Yesterday I was in a rush so my snack was a cheese stick, and a mini blueberry Larabar I had left over from a race. I’ve never thought to heat them up and put them in yogurt…. sounds pretty good!!!!

    I had an apple with almond butter for snack. I love Larabars, especially the cherry and apple pie. As for lunch meat, it would have to be a roasted turkey but very thinly shaved (I have lunch meat texture issues) and I have to eat it in the 1st 2 days. Go figure!

  53. I am a big fan of Greek yogurt with blueberries, cinnamon and dash of stevia. Oh, and almost. Gotta have crunch.

  60. i tend to kind of graze all day, but my snacks usually include fruits and veggies, yogurt, or mini “wraps” using small whole wheat tortillas :)
