What I Was Supposed to Do
If yesterday started off good, it ended up great!
After I left you last, I headed to the gym to train a client and get in a lower body workout. The workout I did was pretty basic – 5 sets of back squats and some dead lifts at the end there. I called it good after that, and then ran some errands with the end goal finishing up Shane’s Valentine’s Day gift
The rest of the day consisted of laziness. Ok fine, and some laundry. But mostly laziness. The best part? I talked to 4 out of 5 of my BFF’s. I call that a good day.
Another tasty thing about the latter half of Sunday?
Chili for dinner! With PB
sandwiches quesadillas as the side
I intended on making crock pot chili, but completely forgot until my tummy grumbled around 5:00. Luckily, the [bison] meat was already thawed (never frozen!) and ready to be cooked.
I felt like I added every single spice in the cabinet to this recipe. Let me think. I added…
- chili powder
- cocoa powder
I’m thinking there was one other, but I can’t think of it at the moment. Luckily, it turned out delicious!
Despite of the productive – yet lazy – Sunday, there was also the inevitable list of things on my to-do list I was supposed to do that didn’t get done.
- Mop the floors
- Deposit some checks from clients
- Get gas
- Give Niko a bath
Is it just me, or does every day – no matter how productive – end with a list of unfinished tasks? I don’t know about you, but I’ve just come to accept the fact not everything on my to do list will get done that day. I mean, that’s what’s tomorrow is for, right? It’s not like it won’t wait for me
Speaking of tomorrow…
Today marks day 1 week 2 of the class I’m taking at work. So yes, that means another week of double the work hours, crazy long days, and running from job to job.
Thus, I’m very appreciative I decided to make yesterday a two-a-day when it comes to workouts since today’s going to be an 11 hour-er. No big deal. Maybe I’ll get a chance to workout tomorrow, and maybe not!
Oddly enough, I woke up this morning feeling hungry right off the bat. Usually it takes me a few hours to crank up the ol’ body furnace.
And when my tummy calls, I answer
Breakfast today is something worth talking about. But since I’ve already talked your ear off, it’ll have to wait until later.
Have a good Monday, friends!
