Jump Rope Circuit Workout
A weekend of Mexican, Chinese takeout, brunch, and burgers made me wake up this morning wanting to start off the work week on a bit of a healthier note.

Thus almost immediately after waking up, I headed to out the door with one thing in mind: to kick some butt in the gym.
The last couple days have been all about the cardio (spin on Friday, short run yesterday,) so today I wanted to put some muscle in my workout. I still felt like sweating it out, so I turned to a circuit workout I created for a client just recently.
One sure fire way to get sweating? Jump rope.
Both my heart and my muscles were pumping after this workout. I also realized I’m no better at jump roping now than I was as a kid. I never made it far in those jump rope and hop scotch competitions in grade school!

Now I’m about to run over (by run I mean in my car, not by foot ) to a client’s house to train her, before coming back home to prepare for the rest of the day.

Just your basic strawberry banana protein smoothie – topped off with some almond meal, which I stirred in before adding a straw. It provided a yummy, nutty flavor to the smoothie
I have to admit, I am not feelin’ today. Not sure what it is, but I’m definitely dragging…hope I didn’t catch Shane’s cold finally!
