Interval Circuit Workout & Friday Link Love

As I’m writing this post, the weatherman on the news in the background is promising plummeting frigid temperatures this weekend. This makes me a very sad Paige. I cannot wait to get back to outdoor workouts, but for now, indoor gym workouts will do.

This morning I woke up, sipped some coffee & BCAA’s, and then got to the gym for a kick booty strength and cardio workout.

This workout is done circuit style and alternates between strength and speed exercises. AKA – your heart will be racing through the entire duration Winking smile It will take about 45 minutes to do – plus a warm up and cool down.

Delicious. I love all the different textures Smile

Now on to lovin’ the links!

Red heart Friday Link Love Red heart

There were a LOT of posts to choose from this week!! Ya’ll were on fire. However, in order to keep the list short and sweet, I narrowed it down to 5 and only 1 in each category.

Post that says what anyone and everyone needs to hear:

Alyssa’s post on skin cancer. As a fair-skinned girl myself, her heart-felt post scared the bejeezus out of me inspired me to make another skin check appointment with my dermatologist. I’m light headed already, but peace of mind – and healthy skin trumps.

Post with the sweets I want to eat:

Claire’s brownie batter yogurt? Need I say more? I will anyway. All you have to do is mix, and you have brownie batter mix? I’m down.

New blog-friend challenge alert post!

My friend Tina is hosting a boot camp over on her website! Anyone can participate, and it sounds like it’s going to rock! As a fellow boot camp instructor, I’m excited for this Smile

How in the heck did she think of that recipe? post:

Megan’s baked mac and cheese balls. How one can turn macaroni and cheese into a finger food is beyond me (well, actually she posted the recipe, so it’s not beyond me now!) But it is brilliant!

And last, but most certainly not least…

Post with news that I can’t help but shout to the rooftops:

My friend Susan is CANCER-FREE!!!!. For those who don’t know, Susan was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma last June. Long story short, she kicked that cancer’s ass Open-mouthed smile

On that note, I’m off to make things happen up in here. I’ve got a to-do list a mile long, starting with responding to emails and doing some invoicing for personal training. Happy FRIDAY Smile

Your turn! Which links did you love (even if they’re your own) this week?

Question 2: Favorite finger food?

  2. Loving that workout. Nice job. That’s so awesome about Susan. I read Alyssa’s post. I’m a redhead so I worry a lot about skin cancer. Thankfully my mom and dad have never had it. I am a firm believer in sunblock. I should own stock!

  3. Alyssa’s post struck a chord with me too! I haven’t been in a tanning bed in years, but sometimes my pale skin drives me nuts! This is a good reminder why I gave up tanning and resonates that pale is beautiful too :-)

  17. oh dear lord. I just read the skin cancer post and got totally freaked out! I’ve been trying to find a dermatologist here in Chicago but having a hard time since the two recommended to me don’t take my insurance. I am fair skinned AND have questionable looking spots… Thanks for the reminder, no more putting off finding a doctor!
