It’s So Bare!

In my New Year’s Eve post, I mentioned we celebrated with a couple who we celebrate with every year (this year was our fifth annual NYE together!)

Well, this year I did a little something special for Destiny and Steve. They recently got engaged, and I wanted to make them something…

I made this 2011 collage out of pictures from previous New Year’s Eve parties together, along with pictures from when they got engaged that I stole off of Destiny’s Facebook page Winking smile

When they walked in, I had it hanging up for them to see:

There were some pretty wild nights in the “0” let’s just say! Oh, also, nevermind the fact that it probably should read 2012, not 2011. I fixed that by writing “Say goodbye to…” at the last minute. Crisis averted! Embarrassed smile

Lunch today has been very much here and there. Since I’m off work for the rest of the day, I’ve just been snacking throughout the afternoon:

ho-made hummus + broccoli

as well as some ho-made trail mix.

Today’s actually been very productive! After training this morning, I hit up the grocery store to shop for items on this week’s meal plan (and I stayed under budget! Score!) did a few loads of laundry, and we even took down all the Christmas decorations!

(‘scuze the cheesy picture Winking smile)

(but before mopping the floor) It looks so bare!

It’s bare 11 months of the year, but for some reason after taking down the tree, it’s extra bare. Like something’s missing! But it’s nice to have the house back to normal.

Now I think Shane and I are going to run a couple errands and then go bowling! We used to go bowling all the time, but I don’t think we’ve been once this year (ha ha ha Winking smile)

Have a great day, friends!

Are you relieved or sad when it’s time to take down the holiday decorations?

Aww I was bummed to take mine down and kept inhaling the tree as I carried it outside (is that weird?). I’m kind of happy now, though, since my living room looks tidier and less cluttered.
