My, my! Cleaning plans were infinitely thwarted today. I think the only things I cleaned were our two bathroom. Oh well. The cookie crumbs on the floor will surely wait for me until tomorrow, right?
Instead of cleaning, I visited my friend, Heidi, who is about to give birth to her second baby any day now. I had to drop off a Christmas present and some cookies, so it was nice to catch up.
By the way, I’ve wrapped all the cookies into individual baggies to give out to my favorite peeps in this world. Thusly, discouraging any unnecessary cookie nibbling on my part.
It’s working so far. I can’t say the same for the cookies I put in the freezer, though. Rock hard frozen Kisses don’t have nothin’ against my chompers!!!
Mmm. frozen cookies. like regular cookies, but cold and hard.
I intended to come home and tackle the floors after visiting Heidi, but when Shane asked me to go Christmas shopping with him, I obliged.
We had three stops: Gamestop, Von Maur, and
Friar Tuck, Famous Liquor.
Giftcards and presents were the purpose for the first two stops, but we had to stock up our wine fridge as well as pick up a bottle for each hostess of all of the Christmas parties we have on the radar next weekend.
Unfortunately, we had a very bad shopping/customer service experience at Friar Tuck, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because we found a liquor store that has almost as large of a selection with much better prices! Winning.
Dinner was supposed to be tacos at home, but to be honest, I just didn’t feel like cooking. So we made a detour to one of our favorite restaurants, Logan’s Steakhouse.
We got there around 4:30, but since we’re still in our 20’s, we felt compelled to have a drink at the bar until 5:00 to eat dinner. It was nice to sit, talk, and relax.
When we were seated, we nibbled on some rolls (best rolls ever!) before ordering.
I went with the mesquite salmon, which came with a salad and a sweet potato.
It was good, but the salmon was small, dry, and overcooked. It’s a shame because usually Logan’s has such delicious salmon!
We actually ended up getting a free $5 Logan’s card for the meal. When we paid, they accidentally put the tip on the gift card instead of our debit card, unbeknownst to us. Apparently, this is against the rules at Logan’s so they had to switch it back over, and compensated us for our inconvenience, which was really not an inconvenience at all. Hooray for good customer service!
OK. Time to get my life back together before a new week begins again already. Have a lovely night, my friends.
What was the last good customer service experience you had? Bad experience?
