Thanks for all the support in my last post. Ya’ll know how to make a girl blush! Seriously though, you guys are all so great and your comments either had me smiling and nodding or busting up laughing!
Sorry I skipped out on you last night, but I was a productivity machine!! Let’s just say that I got a bulk of my Christmas shopping – and played elf for some other people’s Christmas shopping – done last night.
I may not have gotten home until 8, but it was time well spent. But we’re not here to talk about my to-do list. I’ll spare you.
Instead, let me share with you what I brought into the office yesterday and what my coworkers gobbled up:
Cherry pie brownies anyone? They’re good, I promise!
And they better be, because I slaved over this recipe for hours Wednesday night, darnit!!!
Just kidding. I used 4 ingredients for these brownies and it only took about 38 minutes from start to sweet, sweet finish.
Cherry Pie Brownies
The cherry filling incorporated into the brownies makes for the fudgiest brownies ever. I’m a huge fan of chocolate and cherries together, and the cherries in this dish complimented the chocolate perfectly. They didn’t take away from the chocolatey taste, but just added a little bit of cherry tang.
You’ll see I used oil in this recipe. I typically like to bake with butter, but for some reason I find using oil in brownies instead gives me the texture I’m looking for.
1 box brownie mix
1 can cherry pie filling
¼ c. oil
½ c. chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix everything together and pour into a greased brownie pan. Bake for 32-38 minutes (mine took about 36 mins.)
Luckily my coworkers loved these as much as I did, so I didn’t have to bring any back home with me. I don’t know about you, but a bulk of my plans includes baking Christmas cookies this weekend! Gotta balance out those baked goods somehow

My plan is to wrap a few Christmas presents since I don’t have to be at work until mid morning today. And I’m waiting on my workout because I have to head to the gym here in a while anyway to work a bit. Might as well kill two birds with one stone.
Cookies or brownies? That’s a TOUGH one for me, but I think it’s ultimately cookies.
