Why didn’t you guys tell me Kefir is, like, the best dairy product out there?!
This past weekend I picked up a bottle of Helios kefir since I’d had a coupon for it for quite some time now. I’ve always heard it touted as a probiotic super drink, but for some reason was never inclined to try it myself.
What I didn’t realize was that it also tastes amazing! I’m not sure about plain, but this raspberry flavor is sweet and tangy (the good kind) and straight up addictive.
I’ve been enjoying it straight up, as a sub for milk with cereal, and as a dipper for
crack wheat thins.
This morning’s breakfast starred what else – but Kefir! Since I’m still on a kick with my cottage cheese and yogurt bowls, I incorporated it into the mix:
cottage cheese, GY, Kefir, banana, chia seeds, almond meal.
I chopped up a banana at the end, and despite its bland looks, it tasted fantastic!
This morning has already been a busy one. Starting at 5:30, I’ve already trained three clients. Usually business is slow around the holidays, but fortunately it doesn’t seem to be the case this year!
I’m skipping my power yoga class this morning. I’m able to go, but it’s a little of a hassle to pack my office bag and go right after clients. I think I’ll go upstairs and put in my MTV power yoga DVD to get my om on.
