Nightmare at 9th Hour

I slept 9 hours last night and it was fabulous. Sleep has been something I’ve been focusing a lot on lately. I’ve been sacrificing the length of my workouts (or the time of my workouts) and being a few minutes late to work (and staying a few minutes late) to get in my 8 hours of slumber.

However, it seems when I start to sleep more than those 8 hours, the nightmares begin. The 9 hours last night were a dream come true (pun!) but that last hour was spent in terror. *shudders* Seems like eight’s my “sleep number.” Smile

Don’t worry, I won’t give you the deets of my dream – that falls along the same level of boring as giving minute by minute details of a workout Winking smile

Last night after Shane’s friends’ happy hour, we decided to head to our favorite Thai place, The Thai House, for dinner.

The Thai House is a cute little hole in the wall Thai place, that seems like it should be in a movie. Aside from the Coffee House, it’s the most mixed crowd you’ll see in Bloomington/Normal.

We both started with some hot tea (though I missed my usual Singha beer) – and Shane with a thai egg roll app:

We really enjoyed drinking the hot tea on the cold night while waiting for our meal.

I have been absolutely craving panang curry ever since I got pad Thai last weekend in Chicago. But when it came to crunch time, I went with the red curry with eggplant and shrimp.

wah wah weezah! This was fantastic! The sauce is what makes it – it’s slightly sweet and slightly spicy and fully delicious. However, the eggplant was delicious, too!

It was firm, but not too firm, and tasted meaty in each bite. I ate it by spooning little portions on my plate until I finished my entire meal. And I could have eaten two.

I don’t think this fortune was delivered to the right person Winking smile

The rest of the night involved catching up with this season of Modern Family by watching the first five episodes on the couch while sharing a box of TJ’s cookies.

Catching up with series is one of my favorite things. Whenever I watch an episode of a good show I always say, “I wish we could watch another one!!” and when you slack on watching and then catch up, you can! The simple things, guys Open-mouthed smile

This morning I’m headed to the farmer’s market to pick up some groceries, and then I the rest of the morning is filled with training clients.

Have a super Saturday, friends!

What are you up to this weekend? Any Halloween parties going on? We were supposed to go to my girl, Kim’s, party this weekend in Wisconsin, but with Shane working, my training clients, and my being sick all week, it was a no go Sad smile

Before I go – there was a couple pups forgotten in the Howl-a-ween post!! *headdesk* Please go see Molly’s cute little dachshund as a scary shark and yummy hot dog!

  2. My whole family loves Thai food, I love the spring rolls dipped in peanut sauce. I think we have a few Modern Families on our DVR too, it’s been a busy few weeks.

  3. Whenever I go for Thai, it’s such a huge deliberation between curry and pad thai. Then I’m always left craving whichever one I didn’t choose. I think it’s curry’s turn!

  4. I’m not a huge Thai eater, mostly because we don’t eat out that much. But when I do, I like it super spicy!!
