We made it Philadelphia!!!
After a slight delay in my first flight from Bloomington to Detroit, I met Kim and Kelly and the airport and we were on our way 
Being on vacation = airplane bloody mary’s at 10 a.m. Don’t judge us. Vacation starts on the airplane 
However, it’s still not wise to drink on an empty stomach, so an almond butter and banana sandwich was consumed beforehand.
I was smart and packed it in a plastic bag. Easy clean up!
It may have been Kim and I chatted it up the whole plane ride to Philly, or it might have been the bloody mary’s, but the plane ride went SUPER quickly. I didn’t read nearly as much as I thought I would!
Once we touched down, Kim, Kelly, and I shared a cabbie to the hotel.
Yay! So excited
I swear, I’m excited, but the beds in this hotel are amazing. I want to explore the city, but it’s going to be one task peeling myself off of this fluffy cloud of a bed.
At least it made deciding who showers first easier. No, Kim, you go ahead, really. I don’t mind waiting
See you tonight after exploring the city! I promise I’ll have more energy then 
What’s your favorite hotel chain to stay in while you travel? I’m actually a Marriott fan!

I’m hopping on a plane shortly too – I’m going to whip myself up a similar snack for the road…or, er, i mean the air.

On my last work trip they put me up in an Intercontinental and it was really nice! I also like Marriotts too. Any hotel that offers me a clean, king size bed with tons of pillows and I’m a happy camper!
PB sandwiches are my go to plane snacks all the time
I usually end up at Best Westerns, not to say they are my fav though.
I’m a new fan of Marriott’s – we stayed there my bachelorette party night and I got a fantastic night’s sleep – which may or may not have been related to alcohol consumption!
Bloody Mary’s are my airplane drink of choice too. Love them!
I’m a Hilton brand girl all the way. We stay in them exclusively for work and I travel a lot so I’m actually kind of a snob about it. I won’t waste a stay or points on a Marriott, ha!
I’m a Hilton girl, usually. Holiday Inn Expresses have stepped up their game a LOT, I must add. I have been super impressed with the last few I’ve stayed at!

Don’t forget to have a drink on the ride home. Vacation rules state you must book-end the drinks on a flight or it’s not a real vacation.
Good rule of thumb!! Plus you get a vegetable serving in.
