Home run tonight for dinner!!!
Just when I was about to throw in the towel, I make a stand out Mexican beans and rice dish that tasted freaking. amazing. Alas, I can’t take credit for the recipe. I got it from here, but instead of just adding the jalepeno pepper, I added a poblano and a banana pepper. And I added fire roasted tomatoes. You know, just to make sure it had a little spice
If you like spice and flavor, make this recipe!!
My Jewelry Rut
When it comes to jewelry, I view it as just another thing to make me late. I love the look of funky bracelets, chucky necklaces, and statement rings, but when it comes down to it, I typically wear jewelry I don’t have to take off at the end of the day.
My wedding rings
But I’m trying to get better! Even though I typically wear minimal jewelry, I actually do have a specific style, and am trying to implement it into my daily outfits. Here it is:
Gold and silver together = good
I love wearing gold bracelets and necklaces, but my wedding rings are silver (well, platinum) so I tend to mix it up a lot. That gold + silver Yurman chain bracelet is my favorite bracelet in the world.
Statement pieces = good when kept to a minimum
Target, Von Maur (I forget the brand)
Dangly earrings can look fabulous and I love the look of a chunky necklace, but not together. It’s just too much for me.
Bracelets = the more the merrier
I love mixing up different colors, textures, and shapes in bracelets. Bangles looks great with leather wrap bracelets!
Extra rings = go on right hand
This is probably just me, but I like the only rings on my left hand to be my wedding rings.
I’m a huge watch wear-er, but I do have a big chunky silver Bulova that I’ll wear from time to time. It doesn’t even work, but I still just love the way it looks
Well Niko is being sass-city over here, growling for her evening walk! See you tomorrow!
