Signs that it’s time to buy some fresh bananas:
1. When you can slather a banana onto your peanut butter toast, instead of slicing it on top:

What’s your favorite use for rotting bananas? Besides baking banana bread, I like to add them to oatmeal. When they get this brown, they’re so sweet you don’t even need to add sweetener!

Have a good Tuesday, guys! After yesterday’s marathon day + a spin class + 2+ hours of volleyball, I am beat today. I hear a rest day calling my name. Niko will be lucky to get a walk

Probably banana bread, because that’s really the only thing I know to do with extremely ripe bananas
Have a great rest day, you’ve earned it!
I usually freeze them for smoothies.
I put a bad banana in my oatmeal today! They’re good mashed with maple syrup as a waffle or pancake topper too. I must say though, when not cooked, I find the over ripe ones taste like booze
This calls for baked goods…!!!
I usually put overripe bananas in smoothies, or oatmeal. I really prefer to bake with them though since I like to have an excuse to bake.
I freeze mine for smoothies. Or add them to oats – that’s a great use. We eat so many bananas at our house!
YUM! That banana looks good as a spread
. My favorite uses? In a green smoothie, sliced into yogurt or cereal! Enjoy your rest day- well deserved!
I have some delightfully mushy bananas waiting to be turned into bread
banana smush = amazing.
i love ripe nanners diced up over fro yo (plain yogurt u just stick in the freezer for 10 mins). Mix in some cinnamon and it’s heavenly!
I usually toss mine into the freezer for bread/soft serve. Other than that, they go into my oatmeal. I LOVE the idea of smashing one on toast though. I might have to try that later this week!
Hahaha – this post title made me laugh out loud. I put them in muffins or slice them up and freeze them. Even if they are gross looking, they are great in smoothies
I don’t like un-ripe bananas, all hard and tasteless. I prefer using brown in my oatmeals, pancakes and baked goodies
