Today’s the first BIC day I’ve had in 10 days! I’m having a mini "I don wannnnaaaa” moment right now. But I’m sure I’ll get over it
I have a cute outfit in mind for my first day back. That always helps for me – does it for you?
I’m thinking this one:
bahah- ok maybe a bridesmaid dress isn’t fitting for the office
To ease into another day at the office, I slept in as long as I could. No 5:00 a.m. workout for me yet! 6:00 was much easier to wake up to instead of 4:30 a.m. Last night I didn’t get home from training until late, so I welcomed the extra sleep anyway.
Speaking of training, I have been LOVING trisets lately. Here’s one I loved on Saturday. And judging how my quads, booty, and back felt on Sunday, it loved me back
When doing triset workouts, I like to include one lower body, one upper body, and one ab exercise in each set. Pick three exercises, moving quickly on to the next after completing prescribed amount of sets, then rest after the third set, before completing the triset two more times.
Tri these Tri-Sets
1c. Arnold Press
–
2b. Jacknife Sit Up
2c. Single Arm Row
–
3a. Barbell deadlift
3b. Cable Chop

Anyway, after getting home from training, it was getting pretty late. I wanted to quickly eat and get to bed because of the aforementioned early rising, so I made a lazy girl’s healthy dinner.

I bought this romaine lettuce as a “manager’s special” at Krogers the other day. AKA – eat this soon or it’s gonna go bad. Since “expired” yesterday, I thought I’d put it to good use – along with – you guessed it, Thanksgiving leftovers.
This is leftover butternut squash lasagna and some cranberry sauce atop a bed of romaine:

‘Twas tasty, but I’m hereby declaring it a rule that I will not eat any more Thanksgiving leftovers! To the husband or the freezer they will go.

Well I’m off to go put my time in at the Big Insurance Company – and then train two clients afterwards. It’s gonna be a doozy!
Hope you guys are having a good week so far!
Are you still eating Thanksgiving leftovers? Or has that ship sailed for you, too?
Something to check out: My weekly blog post over at Fitconomy! See how you can torch calories and complete some holiday chores while you’re at it

The lasanga looks great and tasty. I don’t eat lasanga anymore because I can’t seem to find it in whole wheat.
You look good in that bridesmaid dress.
I love that bridesmaid dress! Although I agree- it isn’t exactly work appropriate
I am not a huge fan of Thanksgiving food so I have not been partaking in leftovers. My pup had five teeth pulled yday and the vet told me to spoil him, so he enjoyed some mushy stuffing
I feel the SAME way about Thanksgiving leftovers. Luckily most of it is gone by now, but there’s still some sweet potato casserole & mashed taters. So many potatoes, so many carbs! lol. I hate wasting food, but I fear that some of it is going to get tossed because the hubb’s hates “leftovers” and I just can’t do it alone : )
hope youre getting thru your day. Love trisets workouts. Full body functional workouts are the best!

A butternut squash lasagna would be such a tasty vegetarian alternative at Thanksgiving. Hope your first day goes well!
I love the sound of those tri sets. I can totally see them kicking butt.
That’s the beauty of having Thanksgiving at someone else’s house…no leftovers! All the relatives were more than happy to take everything home
I’m glad I’m not the only one who does a 4:30am workout to start the day!!

Can I just say I love that you call it BIC?
hehee… well I know as soon as I say the actual name of the company, there will be backlash
